Valentine's week special.
Classic Pannacotta with strawberry sauce. Its an Italian delicacy which has rice creamy texture that melts in your mouth.
Ingredients:
Heavy whipping cream : 150 ml
Milk : 100 ml
Sugar : 5 tblspn or as per your taste
Agar Agar : 1/2 tspn if it is in powder form. or 2 to 3 gms if it is in strips form
Vanilla essence : 1 tspn
Strawberries : 1 cup chopped
Sugar : 2 tblspns
Water : 2 tblspns
Method :
- Take a heavy deep bottom pan. Pour in cream and and milk. Place the pan on low flame and boil it until you see bubbles on sides of the pan.
- Now add sugar to it and stir. Let it boil for few more minutes and add vanilla essence.
- Now add agar agar to it and gently stir until it is completely dissolved.
- You can see the texture getting thick.
- Turn off the flame and pour the mixture into ramekins.
- Pop them into fridge for 1 hour to 2 hours.
- Meanwhile make strawberry sauce. Take a heavy deep bottom pan and add chopped strawberries, water and sugar.
- Put the pan on low to medium flame and let it cook for about 5 mins. Gently stir in.
- After 10 mins, when strawberries become tender, gently press them with the back of a ladle.
- Once strawberries are completely cooked and becomes soft, turn off the flame and strain it into a serving bowl.
- While serving, unmould pannacotta by running a knife through edges and transfer pannacotta into a serving plate and pour strawberry sauce over it.
