Ingredients:
Kala chana : 1 cup soaked and boiled with little salt
Oil : 1 tblspn
Jeera / Cumin seeds : 1 tspn
Mustard seeds : 1 tspn
Onions : 1 small chopped
Turmeric powder : 1/2 tspn
Tomato puree : 2 tblspn
Mashed potato : 1 tblspn
Salt : As per taste
Red chilly poder : 2 tspn
Jeera/cumin powder : 1 tspn
Coriander seed powder : 1 tspn
Chat masala : 1/2 tspn
Dry mango powder : 1/2 tspn
Anardhana powder : 1/4 tspn
Chopped coriander leaves : Few
Water : 200 ml
Method:
- Take a pan and heat oil on medium flame.
- Now add cumin/jeera and mustard seeds and let them splutter.
- Now add onions and saute them. let it fry until they become translucent.
- Add turmeric and saute.
- After 2 mins add tomato puree and salt and let it cook for 2 mins on medium flame
- Now add kala chana, mashed potato and mix.
- Add red chilly powder, jeera/cumin powder, dry mango powder, anardhana powder, coriander seed / dhania powder and mix.
- Add little water and let let it cook for 5 to 6 mins on medium flame.
- Once it cooked, turn off the flame and add chat masala and chopped coriander leaves.
- Add it as filling in pani puri.
