Dried green peas : 1 cup
Salt : As per taste
Red chilly powder : 2 tspns
Chopped onions : 1 tblpsn
Turmeric : 1/2 tspn
Chat masala : 1 tspn
Cumin powder : 1/2 tspn
Coriander seed powder : 1/4 tspn
Green Chilies : 1 tspn chopped
Coriander leaves : few chopped
Oil : 1 tblspn
Cumin seeds :1/2 tspn
Mustard seeds : 1/2 tspn
Method:
- Soak dried green peas over night and pressure cook them.
- Place a pan on medium flame and add oil.
- Let it heat and add cumin seed and mustard seeds.
- Let them splutter. Add chopped onions and saute. Let it fry until it becomes translucent.
- Add turmeric powder and saute for 2 mins.
- Now add cooked dried green peas. Mix it well.
- Add salt and red chilly powder. Mix it well
- Close the lid and let it cook for 3 to 4 mins.
- Now add cumin seed powder, coriander seed powder and chat masala. Mix it well.
- Add 1/2 cup of water and mix.
- Close the lid and let it cook for about 2 mins on medium flame.
- Turn off the flame and add chopped coriander leaves.
Paapdi Ingredients:
Maida : 1 cup
Oil : 1 tblspn
Salt : As per taste
Red chilly powder : 1.5 tspn
Water : Enough to make dough
Carom / Ajwain : 1/2 tspn
Baking soda : 1/4 tspn
Method:
- Sieve maida, salt and baking soda in to bowl.
- Add red chilly powder, oil, carom seeds and little water.
- Kneed it to make a hard dough.
- Place a kitchen towel over dough and rest it for 30 mins
- Now take a lemon size of dough and roll it out thinly.
- Add all purpose flour over the roti.
- Now make a small cut from the center of roti to the corner and fold it as shown below.
- Fry them on medium flame until golden brown.
- Now take a serving plate, add ragada, and crushed paapdi.
- Add sweet chutney and mint chutney over it.
- Add sev, onions and coriander leaves over it and serve it hot.
